New warehouse open month faster due to corona crisis

The opening of the additional e-fulfilment center in the inner port of Ostend was foreseen in the course of June 2020, but due to the enormous boost in e-commerce it has now become May 4, 2020.
So the past few weeks have been working day and night to set up the new warehouse and get it ready for the opening.
The additional e-fulfilment warehouse in Ostend will offer space for 3300 shelf locations and 1200 pallet locations.
There are also nice expansion possibilities.

Ostend is the third location

This is the third location where ShopWeDo e-fulfilment is taking up residence.
Not coincidentally in West Flanders, so it wants to start serving the local market there as well with their e-commerce services.

“We have chosen not to work from one “mega-warehouse” but from different locations. In our opinion, this has the biggest advantage that you can offer specific services at each location. This way you don’t have to force all your customers to purchase the same service, but you can also provide customized services.” Says Kenny Van Paesschen, CEO.

Perhaps there will be future expansions in other cities.
For example, they are already concretely looking at a location in the Liège region.
ShopWeDo e-fulfilment, founded in 2014 provides the e-commerce logistics behind more than a hundred Belgian web shops.
It now sends about two thousand packages every day and almost doubles this figure every year.
